Eating our pain (by Jackie Summers)

Lola: I have posted other authors articles here from time to time, especially when they blow me away like this one did. Jackie Summers talks about how he deals with the pain of heartbreak. He doesn’t become jaded, he doesn’t avoid it, but he allows himself to feel it, in order to become stronger.

This is one article that hits me deep inside, and I loved every. single. second of it!

A great poem taken from the post is below:

To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.

The rest of the article can be found on The Good Men Project’s website, or by clicking here. If you have ever experienced heartbreak deeply (and I presume we all have?) I think this article will be a good read for you.
